BEST DESSERT EVER.
As part of a Plant-Based 3-course meal at Coral Reef they recently added a few new 100% Vegan options onto their menu. As a starter, you can now get a Plant-Based Mushroom Salad ($13) which features Wild Mushrooms, Hearts of Palm, Tomato, Avocado Puré & a Lavash Crisp. For your entree a Grilled Garden Vegetable Skewer ($24) which is Roasted Kefta, Basmati Rice, Lentils & a Smoked Eggplant Salad. And the pièce de résistance, the Bailey's Almond and Jack Daniel's Mousse.
This dessert features a layer of chocolate sponge cake followed by a creamy layer of Jack Daniel's Chocolate Mousse and one of Bailey's Almond Mousse. The cake is then garnished with Chocolate Ganache and Candied Almonds.
The dessert comes in at $9.50 and I would not judge anyone who grabs a reservation in the middle of the day to only order this dessert, it's that good.
