Rose & Crown Dining Room : Full Dairy-Free Review

I haven't been to Rose & Crown to eat, I think since my 18th birthday. That was a while ago now and A LOT has changed. For the better in my opinion. Rose & Crown is one of the few restaurants in World Showcase that not only has a separate Allergy Menu but also has amazing plant-based options and MULTIPLE plant-based options which is rare.

Starting with your appetizer you can get the Coronation Salad ($12) which is Crisp Salad with an Apple-Madras Dressing on top of a Crunchy Grain Cracker. This salad is Dairy-Free and Gluten-Free as is and is also one of their new completely Vegan options.

This salad sounds good, particularly the dressing but as I was only dining here for a quick lunch, I opted to just get an entree but I would definitely go back to try this sometimes. Now let's dive into Entree options, straight of the Allergy-Friendly Menu once again you can get the Rose & Crown's Signature Fish & Chips ($23) which are beer-battered and served with Lemon as well as the Baked Fish & Chips ($23) which is the Gluten-Free option as well as being Dairy-Free.

You can also opt for some Chicken Masala Curry ($22) which I was VERY tempted by and is served with Seasonal Vegetables and Brown Rice. If you're plant-based however you can ask if the Chicken be swapped out for Tofu. Another plant-based item available on the menu is the Savory Hot Pot ($21) which is Seasonal Vegetables in a Meatless Rich Casserole Baked with a Sliced Potato Topping. This is yet another completely Dairy and Gluten-Free option.

I, however, opted for an off-menu item. I've talked before about my love for beyond sausage, and the fact I run over to Ale & Compass any chance I get for their Beyond Sweet Italian Sausage so I couldn't pass up the chance to try Rose & Crown's option.

To get this you would simply request the Vegan Bangers & Mash ($21). What you are served is then 2 Brat Flavored Beyond Sausages on top of a bed of the yummiest Mashed Potatoes you will ever eat and a Red Wine Demi-Glaze. Seriously I've never liked mashed potatoes growing up, and I haven't had any in years and I wiped this plate clean. It's going to be very hard not to order this every time I go.

Now I was full, as you can imagine after shoving in my Bangers & Mash as if it were my last meal so I didn't get dessert but you do have two options if you're feeling in the mood. The Rice Pudding ($8) which is a Coconut and Orange Rice Pudding with a Berry Compote, yet another Plant-Based option and a good old Fruit Salad ($7) which is you know...fruit..for seven dollars.
